Advent on Lake Wolfgang:
That means more than a visit to an Advent market: The Lake wolfgang Advent is well known for its traditional markets in the three villages surrounding the lake. St Gilgen offers the baroque advent with angels and plenty of romance. Strobl charms as the nativity village and St Wolfgang shines with Christmas lights.
The ships on the lake connect all 3 villages. Definitely a unique experience in an atmospheric Advent. Furthermore, there is the Advent train on the Schafberg railway, plus numerous Christmas events, readings etc. The Advent markets are open from the end of November until the end of December. Ski tours:
The Zwölferhorn in St. Gilgen, and the Labenberg on the Postalm are truly oustanding.
Snowshoeing:
Is also possible on the Postalm (individual or guided tours). You can also explore the vally landscape with snow shoes.
Winter hiking:
Not everyone enjoys skiing or cross-country skiing, therefore we have plenty of cleared winter hiking paths for you to enjoy, on the Zwölferhorn, on the Postalm or down in the valley.
Wellness and bathing:
Especially in winter, to swim or sweat, does the body and soul good.
The Wellness Alm: 4 indoor pools, 3 outdoor pools, 8 different saunas, steam bath, whirlpool, ice grotto, solarium, massage, pedicure, manicure, children's paradise, "Wellness for Two" and a 5.5 m deep sport diving pool.

St. Gilgen, Bad Ischl, and Mondsee all offer iceskating rinks, open from the end of November.
